Tamil Nadu government to increase coverage of its insurance scheme

The Tamil Nadu government announced that it will increase the coverage of its insurance scheme from $2,870 to $7,175. As a result, the 15.8 million families registered under the government’s health scheme can now obtain treatment that costs up to $7,175 per year at no cost to them.
