The government of Gujarat announced ‘Gujarat Waste to Energy Policy-2016’ and ‘Gujarat Small Hydel Policy 2016’ for power generation through solid waste and water resources. Both policies will be effective for five years. No duty will be charged on the electricity generated under these policies.
